Biography

I came to clay later in life after thirty years as a conservation architect. In my mid-fifties I was lucky enough to be accepted onto the Portfolio course at Hereford College of Art, followed by my attending Wolverhampton University's BA degree course in Ceramics, part time. This was an inspiring and experimental time, and confirmed my fascination with all things ceramic.

I have exhibited at various galleries including the Bevere gallery in Worcester, the Lion Street Gallery and the Bowey Gallery in Hay on Wye, the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, Stoke on Trent, as well as exhibitions such as Art in the Garden in Hampshire and Parallax in Chelsea. I currently participate in local Open Studio events and pop-up shows. I am a member of South Wales Potters and the Craft Potters Association.

My home and workshop is in the Welsh Marches from where I make frequent forays to the coast of west Wales to beachcomb and draw inspiration from the wild shoreline.
